Cuadro Mixmedia Tutorial en Fotos - Mixmedia Canvas Photo Tutorial

Hola como están todos:
Hello everyone, how are you:

Today I bring you a mixmedia canvas that I made for a friend's birthday with the photos of her daughters. It is the first time I dared to make such a big proyect, but I really liked this kind of work, there are no errors when working with miximedia, everything is there for a reason even paint stains .... hahaha ... (# ^. ^ #)

This time I could not prepare a video, the truth I was a little rushed with the gift ... hehehehe .... (~ _ ~;), but I did take  pictures in each step to show the process.

First of course we start with the empty canvas ... hehehe .. but you knew that, the one I found in an art supply store near my house was oval, they didn't have a square one, so I work with what I had.

First I played with a flower stencil and acrylic gesso because this gesso not pick the color when cleaned quickly and I wanted to paint it with something else than watercolors.

Then I used two other stencils, bricks and butterflies, and this time I used texture paste because I wanted to use some watercolors on them.

This is how it end the canvas before I start to painting it, to give it more interest I add small lines of acrylic gesso and put some ribbon over them.

Over all the canvas I used ocher watercolor and a baby wipe to remove a little color and distress it a bit, here you can see that in the places where I use gesso has not acquired any color, while in the parts I used texture paste it already have some color.

After that I used a combination of watercolors that gave me a strawberry halftone, I left some paint run freely for the canvas and as I told you it doesn't have to be perfect, for example here it ran more than I wanted, but in the end it worked well with the rest of the picture. I painted some little pink and brown stripes over the bricks to give them some color and highlight them, I did not want to paint them completely, just highlight that they were there.

As I told you for the flowers I wanted to use other materials to paint them so I use Perfect Pearls from Ranger, I love it, the colors were vibrant and bright.

To embellish the project I decided to use several flowers, for that I paint several pages with red and orange colors, then I use a word background stamp and I cut the flowers using the dies from Sizzix Tattered Flower Garland and Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisy.

For the leaves I followed the same process, I painted some pages with green and brown and I cut the leaves ussing the dies from Sizzix Spring Greenery and the leaves than came in the dies from Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisy.

Using a stylus and a foamy as a base, I shape the flowers a little, I tried several styles to practice a bit with them and see how they turn out, with the flowers formed I sprayed them with Sunflower Perfect Pearls Mists to give them a little shine.

To the phrase I choose I wanted to give a touch like wood, and because I didn't have wood I use plain paper and the distress Tea Stain and  Walnut Dye, I tried to make it look like burnt wood.

Then I just put everything together and add some other embellish to decorate the canvas, I used buttons, some butterflies from another project, doilies, feathers, ornaments in metal and several raffia and jute threads, in other words a little bit of everything that combine well with the rest of the project.

Aquí les dejo varios acercamientos:
